# Introductory Session

> The Introductory Session is a free, 20-minute call designed to check compatibility between you and your potential mentor before committing to a subscription.

### Steps to Book an Introductory Session

* **Log in first**
  * When you click on *Book Slot*, you will be redirected to the login page.
  * You can log in using:

    * **Google login**
    * **Passwordless authentication:** enter your email, click the link you receive, and you’ll be logged in instantly.

* **Fill in basic data**

  * We’ll ask you to complete a short profile for the best mentor match.

* **Select a time slot**
  * Choose an available time from the mentor’s calendar.
* **Complete the quick form**

  * Before confirming, fill out a short form to help the mentor prepare for your session.

* **Confirmation email**
  * Once booked, you’ll receive an email confirming your session details.

### After the Session

* Your 20-minute session will run as scheduled.
* Afterward, you’ll receive an email with the mentor’s decision:

  * ✅ **Move forward** → you can choose a subscription plan.

  * ❌ **Not a fit** → the mentor may decline if they feel there’s no alignment in skills, goals, or experience.

    - *If you need more to find the right mentor, we can expand this limit upon request.*

### Tips for a Successful Introductory Session

* 🎯 **Be clear on your goals:** know what you want to achieve from mentorship.
* 📝 **Prepare your questions:** think of 2–3 key things you want to ask.
* 👩‍💼 **Introduce yourself briefly:** share your background and current situation.
* ⏱️ **Respect the time:** it’s only 20 minutes, so keep it focused.
* 🤝 **Be authentic:** mentors value honesty — the better they understand you, the better they can guide you.
